Well, 1 more event to do and off to the Awards Banquet! Our next event is September 18th, 2010!!!! So much is going on!!! Busy, Busy, Busy!!! We are working with the WNHA Awards Supporter, Rogers Cowboy Supply and they are doing a fantastic job!!!! Thanks Ty and Austin!
We would like to remind EVERYONE to read and understand the WNHA Awards Policy, please visit this page and download the Awards Program of the WNHA. Listed, below, is a partial of the rules regarding the Awards Program for the 2010 season.... ****All members in good standing, membership fees paid, ride in 3 same classes and have competed at 4 of the 6 WNHA Events held, to qualify for Year End Awards and as described herein**** YEAR END AWARD QUALIFICATIONS: ·Membership required ·All fees must be paid as described in the WNHA By-Laws and Rule Book, by April 1st, or first event, whichever occurs first, to accrue points; ·All members must have competed in the combinations as described herein; ·Participant to ride in the combination of Age Group Classes of total points calculated in that disciplineand as described herein; ·All members must have competed at 4 of the 6 WNHA dated events to be eligible; ·In classes where the Exhibitor has an option to ride Western or English, in order for the points to count towards Year-End Western or Year-End English, the participant must ride in the combination ofAge Group Classes of total points calculated towards the discipline it is associated with, attend 4 of the 6 shows either Western or English, and as described herein; ·In Novice classes, the combination of the total points are calculated for each discipline, and as described herein; ·Meet volunteer or fee requirements;
It is very important that everyone read this and understand; the WNHA will follow these guidelines. Please make sure that you all understands that the Board will abide by the rules for the Awards Program; you must meet the requirement's listed above. Please see Awards Policy in full.
Shirt Raffle: The material shown has been donated to the WNHA for a Fund Raiser! This material will be converted into a show/barrel shirt, a $200.00 value!!! This my friends is awesome!!!! It is a one of a kind by Sho-N-Off Show Clothing, Karma Swanson (click image to visit her site) Winner will get one shirt made to their custom measurements with their choice of black or brown collar/cuffs. If winner wishes to have additional crystals, etc, they can be added at winners expense. Membership or present not required; come by any WNHA event to purchase tickets: 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. All proceeds go towards the WNHA Awards. Gymkhana Saddle By our August event, we should have the gymkhana raffle saddle! (It is currently being made) however tickets are available. It is a 15 1/2 Gymkhana saddle with Zebra Print!!! Tickets are 1 for $10 or 3 for $20!!!! Membership or present not required; come by any WNHA event to purchase tickets: All proceeds go towards the WNHA Awards. You can also mail in your check and the tickets requested WILL be mailed right back to you (please provide an address/phone) Address is PO Box 7284, Reno, NV 89510 (Shipping will be covered by winner if over $20)
Both Raffles will be available through November 13, 2010, where ticket(s) will be drawn.
Don’t forget about all the sponsors that have contributed to the WNHA to help in awards for the WNHA; to include those who specifically sponsored the Class Awards!!! WNHA is so very pleased to announce that the WNHA is awarding a CLASS SPONSORED AWARD!!!! A first in a long time! Please visit the Class Sponsored Award tab to learn more....Without Minnie Korpi of RCI Management Corp for the Western Division; Les Schwab for the Gymkhana Division and Great Basin Vet for the English Division; we would not be able to make this Class Award possible!!! We are very grateful and very excited to have this opportunity from these sponsors to be able to award this! Again, if you need to make arrangements for your overnights before our events; contact Helen at 849-3232. Cost is $20.00 per stall/horse; you have to provide water/feed buckets; your own watering and feeding. Arrangements can also be made for overnights; cost is $20.00 per hook up/no generators. We start at 9:00 AM.
The snack bar hosted by High Sierra Riders and their members are awesome! Everyone is so nice and easy to talk with; many compliments!!! Their sales have been very good and let’s continue in supporting them for the rest of the season!!! There is a spectator's section on the south side or your left, facing the main arena, to get out of the hot sun or wind. NO horses are allowed in this area or under the bathroom section, as this is another spot for seating as well as the snack bar section. I need everyone to make sure they keep their horses out of the center of the covered area (bathrooms) as this is not for the horses.. Spectators or family/friends will need to provide their own chairs to utilize these feature of the Arena. Please visit the WNHA Library where you will find the By-Laws, Rules & Awards Program; the WNHA Documents Library is where you will find the Class Entry Sheets, Class List and Waivers. Remember, NO Dogs will be allowed while we event at the Rockin' LJ Arena; WE participants are guests during a WNHA event. Please leave them at home where they are so much more comfortable. The parking is in the front of the arena, on the other side of Helen's place and we don't want them hot, out of water or given the opportunity to bark and scare a horse or bite another participant. This is also per our insurance for the WNHA...Thank you for understanding...
As always, we will be running as describe on the class list; starting our first class at 9:00 AM; Western will not start before 12 Noon; Gymkhana will not start before 3:00 PM; Trail will start after a 20 minute lunch break to feed our judge.
Don’t forget to get your entries in to Taylor at taylorlangus@yahoo.com! Remember, all you have to do is send her your info, classes, etc., and she will do the rest! Please PRE-REGISTER as it really helps us out in order for us to start on time!!! WE must be done with our final run no later than 8:15 PM; so, we ask that you get your entries in to Taylor to help expedite the morning of the event, allowing us to keep on time; remember, it is SO much easier to scratch, so, even if you think you may come or may ride in a class, better to have it pre-entered. Lights used at the arena is an additional cost of $100.00 and we will continue to accept donations for the rest of the season as we will use the lights per requests from our participants. THANK YOU TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HELPED US RAISE MONIES NEEDED!!!
PLEASE help us in saving the club additional fees so we can have that extra cash for the awards and that we may get out of there at a decent time as well....This is another way to help get your volunteer time in....help us with the cleaning BEFORE you leave.
Available at the snack bar, the WNHA will have for sale the Sweatshirts for $30.00 and the Vests for $45.00. The proceeds from the sale of these items will go towards the year end awards at the WNHA Awards Banquet. We will also have them available at the Awards Banquet. You can check them out at the WNHA Store! So, get yours and get branded...
We hope you all are as excited as we are for all the new things going on with the WNHA! The Board is looking forward to a great year, a great eventing experience, meeting everyone and then to close it out with a spectacular awards banquet!!!! So, come be part of the WNHA!!!
